2022 Season looks good to go!

After one of the mildest (so far) winters on record and the lifting of most Covid restrictions, 2022 is shaping up to be, thankfully, something more normal.

TROUT LAKES: Here at the farm, the mild winter has given me the chance to build a new teaching platform, do a full winter weed cut and clear a number of Alder trees as well as swipe all the banks ready for the coming season. For those interested I still have places available in our little fishing syndicate (email me michael@michaelevans.co.uk if you want details) and on my one day Introduction to Trout Fishing Courses – see the shop for latest availability. I am also still offering casting tuition on Wednesdays when the syndicate don’t fish.

SCOTLAND COURSES AND FISHING:  With Scotland’s Covid restrictions also now lifted, we look good to go for the end of March. I will be on Dalmarnock week beginning 28th March and then Murthly Castle for the week beginning 4th April. With rollovers from the last two years, I am almost full, but I do still availability for fishing only on Dalmarnock and one rod on Murthly for the three days 7-9th April. Ring me if you want to come 01342 850765.

RUSSIA: I have just spoken with Charlie White at Roxtons and whilst nothing is ever certain when it comes to Covid, we are looking good to go this year – at last!  Needless to say my week is booked solid as is most of the program.

ICELAND: After some considerably difficult politics last year concerning the operators on East Ranga, currently it doesn’t look as if I shall be able to take a party this season. But if you are hankering for a trip to Iceland and have a suitably deep pocket, do get in touch as I am looking for alternatives and opportunities do sometimes arise at short notice.

Finally, I have had a number of guys asking about my ArrowHead tackle since I closed my on-line shop. I still have most of the rods lines leaders etc available by mail order if you ring me with a card on 01342 850765. Meantime, I am looking for someone who might like to take on the tackle business, so let me know if you know someone who might be interested.
