Top Beat: Water 1ft 2ins, overcast and mild with a light breeze. It just doesn’t get any better.
I had a couple of angry tugs fishing my big prawn very deep in the Tronach – fish already caught and released I suspect.
Cecil D saw a couple of fish coming through the fast water at the Burn just before lunch but they were going like express trains and stopping for no-one.
Other than that we fished hard all day for absolutely nothing. Very disappointing… but you cannot catch what isn’t there.
I am leaving in the morning so final report when I return to my office.
