FAIRNILEE
Water height remained stubbornly at 2ft 6ins all day and wind causing lots of leaves did not help our cause. However, I was lucky and managed a hen fish of 12lbs from the tail of Russells Rock and a 15lb cock fish from Rae Weil. Very welcome I can assure you!
On a more somber note: I am sad to report I received a phone call this afternoon from Guy Calcutt to inform me of the death of Bill Calcutt. Bill and his brother Simon (Guy’s father) fished with us on upper Tweed at both Fairnilee and on the Yair for many years. Lots of happy memories, Bill, you will be sadly missed.
