I spoke to Charlie White a few moments ago, who is just back from the East Ranga…
The river is clear and running at a good level. His 14 rods got 157 fish in three days which, given that 6 of them were total beginners and there were numbers of fish over 5 kilos, is fantastic.
East Ranga again proves to be very reliable in the face of tails of woe from a number of the other Icelandic rivers.
I am only sorry that dear David M will not be with us this year, he has been taken poorly at the last minute but we are told it is just an infection and nothing major thank goodness.
