Water 2ft 6ins on arrival at the Lower Beat. Dropped to 2ft 2ins during the day. Baltic upstream wind and freezing hands, so casting not easy for the “Improvers”. But that’s fishing sometimes and a required skill set, so good practice.
A couple of tugs on the Kynochs in the boat in the afternoon. One at the Otter stone and the other half way down Sparrowmuir, but neither stuck.
We need another 6ins off the gauge so not liking the forecast for tomorrow: heavy rain again. But they were totally wrong again today – we were supposed to have 11 degrees and 5mph winds – pah! So anyone’s guess.
