Description
My ArrowHead “Skater” Salmon Twin-Lines are built using the twin color, twin density idea I pioneered in the mid 90s. It creates a seamless shooting head type fly-line where the rear running line floats and the casting head either floats or sinks at various speeds. I invented the twin colour idea so that the caster can easily see the ideal amount to put off the end of the rod. Most manufacturers are now copying this idea.
The ArrowHead Skater has extended front and back tapers to balance the head weight in flight and avoid the line bunching as shooting heads can do, and a long light front taper to present smaller flies or hitched flies really delicately. Easy Spey casting and reminiscent of the “Greased-line” technique pioneered by Arthur wood at Cairnton on the Dee and documented by Jock Scott. Just a delightful way to fish for salmon!
ArrowHead lines are made with a cold PVC coating over a strong braided core. They do wear out, but they will lie straight on the water.
