Salmon Fishing only (no tuition) at Murthly Castle on Tay Beat 1 includes Upper Murthly and Lower Murthly including the Glendelvine boat pool rotating on alternate days. The Ghillie is Donald Tritton.
Murthly Castle on Tay is private water, with both banks, good access, nice easy wading and excellent facilities. In April we can get some of the best spring salmon fishing in Scotland, though 2018 was very disappointing, but we would normally expect 5 – 10 Salmon for my week. Please note all spring fish on the Tay must be returned..
The cost for three days fishing only for 2024 (no tuition) is £450. The cost does not include the usual ghillie’s tip (about £15/day/rod) or your accommodation for which my groups get a special rate at the Birnam House Hotel, Birnam by Dunkeld Hotel. Phone:01350 727322.
