Upper Water: 1ft 7ins on Caputh gauge. Water 48 degrees, mild and overcast with a short shower mid day.
A nice 8lb fresh fish on the fly from the boat for Iain B just below the Burn stream close to the right bank. Cecil D also had a close encounter at the top of the Tronack from the left bank. We saw three other fish moving through in the morning but it went quiet in the afternoon.
Teaching over, the A team will be out tomorrow. Hopefully the rain in the west will not raise the river as it is at a lovely height for Murthly.
