As previously reported, the first couple of days of the week were spoiled by a lift in water to nearly 4ft but as the river dropped as the week went on, so our chances improved. Saturday ended our week with a veritable bonanza, after I had had to leave early in the morning to drive south for a meeting – isn’t it always the way!
Anyway a great day for Cecil D with 2 fish, 14lbs & 8lbs both from the tail of the Tronach LB. Derek C then got a cracking 15 pounder from the Green Bank, but top performance was Colin the Stenton ghillie fishing my rod in the evening who got 4 more out of the Tronach 13lbs, 7lbs, 8lbs, & 10lbs. What a great day.
That bought our total up to 13 Salmon for the week, not forgetting a first ever Salmon for Simon M on the course earlier.
Spring Salmon fishing in Scotland doesn’t get much better!
