Doesn’t take long but it makes a significant difference to the results… On Friday we saw the first of the Mayfly hatches this year but the fishing was really quite difficult. The fish seem frightened of these flies and reluctant to feed.
Yesterday it was all change. In just four days the fish have wised up to the feast available and the fishing if anything was almost too easy (it is not called duffers fortnight on the Test for nothing) But let me hastily add that for two complete novices starting from scratch for both get their limit was good going, well done to both of you.
