Tweed 2020 26th October

Back on Tweed for my first cast/last chance for a salmon this year!

Came back to Fairnilee which I haven’t fished since 1992. The beat is in the excellent hands of the new (to me) ghillie Mark Hislop and my goodness has he done good works. A magnificent new rod room in the old sawmill and banks that are well maintained.

Each cast was made with fond memories of dear old Wattie Dodds and the many guys who fished here with us in the old days. I was rewarded with a lovely brace of fish, another lost and three more close encounters. It is wonderful to see so many fish in the river again. Brilliant!

Pictures to follow when I work out how to get them from the phone to here! Ah now sorted it.
